Weekending

I have seen blog posts titled Weekending and enjoyed reading what others spent their time doing over the weekend. I decided to participate this weekend.

This weekend was filled with strawberry picking, strawberry freezing, strawberry delivering to friends, strawberry eating and all things strawberry.

This was mixed with seed and plant planting. We stocked up at the garden center with many tomatoes, squash, summer bulbs, and sunflower seeds galore. Oh yeah and my impulse buy was a small peppermint plant. It caught my olfactory attention as I walked by. I am looking forward to the peppermint tea times to come.

Today was spent restocking the kitchen and general tidying of my home.

It had been raining all day and the sound of it on my tin roof is bliss. I have to say I had a wonderful weekend. Now I am going to climb into bed and read a bit of book.

    1. We have had alot of rain lately so I am enjoying the sound so much.

This is the first year at our current home so it is so fun seeing what flowers and greenery was already planted and adding some of our own.

  4. Strawberries are about a month and a half away for us:( Just as a tip, plant your mint in a pot, it can spread uncontrollably...
